Vaastu Arts Tour

Dear Vaastu enthusiasts,

Here are the details for the Vaastu Arts Tour. It can only happen if I get at least 14 people to commit to the tour as soon as possible. (Otherwise hotels booking will be difficult.) Commitment means a non-refundable $500 deposit. Contact me at Vastuved@yahoo.com.

Dates for the tour to be announced:

Arrive Chennai,

Day 1:On arrival in Chennai you will be met by our Tour Executive and transferred to Hotel Savera (4 Star). Rest of the day free to relax.
Day 2:Full day in Chennai for Vaastu Seminar. Visit the Sari shop and the Mylapore Temple. Overnight at Hotel Savera
Day 3:Day excursion to Kanchipuram. Overnight in Chennai at Hotel Savera
Day 4:Morning visiting Mahabalipuram Shore Temples , Five Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance Bas Relief and Rock cut Temples. Afternoon Free at the Beach. Overnight Mahabalipuram. Overnight at Temple Bay Beach Resort (4 Star)
Day 5:Morning drive 5.5hrs to Trichy and check into Hotel Sangam (4 Star) Rest of the day free
Day 6:Day in Trichy to visit Sri Rangam Temple (the "seed" Vishnu Temple in South India) and Jambukeshwara Shiva Temple. Some free time also in the afternoon. Overnight in Trichy.
Day 7:Morning drive to Tanjore Temple (the most captivating Temple I have visited in Tamil Nadu), Palace and Art Gallery. Overnight in Tanjore at Ideal River Resort (3 Star) on the banks of the Cauvery River
Day 8:Morning drive via Darasuram Temple to Chidambaram Temple (the "seed" Shiva temple in South India). Continue onto Pondicherry for your overnight stay at Hotel De L’Orient (3 Star Heritage)
Day 9:Morning in Pondicherry sightseeing; afternoon resting. Overnight at De L’Orient.
Day 10:Morning drive 3.5hrs to Chennai, via the Sculpture yard in Mahabalipuram. Afternoon shopping or personal activities. Overnight at Hotel Savera
DAY 11 and maybe 12:OTHER VAASTU RELATED ACTIVITIES IN CHENNAI, Overnight at Hotel Savera
Day 12 or 13:Departure transfer to Chennai airport for your flight home.

Based on a Group of 14 people minimum, the cost per person will be USD $865.00 which includes:

  • Twin share accommodation at all 3 Star and 4 Star hotels (If you want your own room then we will adjust the price) I’m having us stay at the nicest hotels because it’s the best way to stay rested and healthy on the trip.
  • Breakfast at all places
  • All transport by Deluxe Air conditioned 18 Seater Coach
  • Mineral water on board the coach throughout the trip
  • Local assistance in Chennai, Trichy, Madurai
  • Special farewell dinner at Annalakshmi Restaurant in Chennai

I have not included in the cost:

  • Entrance fees at the monuments, temple Puja fees, shoe keeping fees: approx $25 per person
  • Camera fees
  • Meals other than Breakfast; We will work this out along the way so we have some good South Indian food.
  • Tips, Porterage at the hotels, Laundry and other items of a personal nature

In addition there will be a tour activities fee of: $800.00

This fee will include: the one day Vaastu Seminar in Chennai, Dance and Mucical performances, Sculpture Yard tour and Michael’s Vaastu commentaries as we go.

In a nutshell the total cost of the trip from the USA would probably be:

  • Airfare to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India : $1,500.00 (you arrange this)
  • Accommodations and Transportation in India: $865.00
  • Tour Activities: $800.00
